Cause and Effect

Spiralled action was beheld,
 each handing their own destruction to the other
Twice.
 three times
the pitter patter provoked the emotion less than their worth.
In till the world swept dust beneath their feet         brushing away ruminants of era.
Cause and effect were spoken.
Cause        the evaluation of the beginning.
Effect         the beginning of a conclusion.
Neither existed beside that breach of mind.
Theories littered the speech of many as to how to pin down answer.
Raised to a shout, question asked but garbled as it might,
there was none.
The bitter interference of soul, guilt and temptation bargained,        winning.
Till there was nothing
 except that
 foam within glass,
shadowed over          by the lesser man.
